These quotes show the value of Charity. Charity is a great way to live Compassion, making it real in our lives today! So, as we reflect today, let's refresh our memories on the meaning of Compassion, and take a closer look at how Charity brings it to life.

Compassion means, Service in a spirit of empathy, love, and concern
We know there are many ways to live Compassion; so, let's focus on just one, Charity.
Charity
Charity is, the virtue by which we love God above all things for His own sake, and our neighbor as ourselves.
So, let's ask ourselves this question...

Charity isn't new to CHRISTUS Health, in fact, we see this same type of Compassion in our heritage...
Did you know that our sponsoring congregations continue to actively care for the most vulnerable among us, the same way they did in our founding years? For example, the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word of San Antonio have recently opened four Women's Centers across Mexico to support migrant women and children who are victims of abuse and poverty.
Lord, You only look at the heart and you are always charitable. Thank you for your limitless love which blesses us far more than we deserve. Grant us a charitable heart to ensure that each person we encounter is treated the way that you would treat us. Amen.
