These quotes show the value of Resilience. Resilience is a great way to live Compassion, making it real in our lives today! So, as we reflect today, let's refresh our memories on the meaning of Compassion, and take a closer look at how Resilience brings it to life.

We know there are many ways to live Compassion; so let's focus on just one, Resilience.

Resilience means, The ability to withstand adversity and bounce back from difficulties.

Resilience isn't new to CHRISTUS Health, in fact, we see this same type of Compassion in our heritage...
Did you know that a physician of CHRISTUS Oschner uses prayer to keep and show compassion? On a daily basis, the physician demonstrates an overwhelming commitment to compassion as she speaks to a variety of patients in a soft and caring manner as she obtains their medical history to be able to refer them to our physicians and services. Many times her coworkers have witnessed her immense caring behavior as she closes her conversation with the words, "I'll be praying for you."
Dear Jesus, you took time to rest and pray, showing me how to take care of myself. I depend on you Lord, for my physical and spiritual needs. Help me make the time and space to be nourished, enabling me to meet the needs of others with a restful heart and soul. Amen.
