Spiritual Support isn't new to CHRISTUS Health, in fact, we see this same type of Compassion in our heritage...
Did you know that a CNO at CHRISTUS Childrens, fights for the self-care of her employees? A Director of Nursing shared this personal story: “I had two back-to-back family deaths that were traumatizing for me. My mom and last surviving aunt died within 3 weeks of each other. Both were from the west coast. the CNO reached out multiple times to ensure I felt support and love. She ensured I had time to go honor, recognize, and grieve both women. She insisted that I take care of myself, and I felt the sincere sympathy and love from her each time we talked.
Dear God, you designed me with a space in my heart that can only be filled by my connection with you. When it is filled with you, I am sustained by your peace and care for me. Please help me to make my own spiritual health a priority which will enable me to guide others to do the same. Amen.
