These quotes show the value of Reliability. Reliability is a great way to live Dignity, making it real in our lives today! So, as we reflect today, let's refresh our memories on the meaning of Dignity, and take a closer look at how Reliability brings it to life.
Dignity
Dignity means, Respect for the worth of every person, recognition and commitment to the value of diverse individuals and perspectives, and special concerns for the poor and underserved.
We know there are many ways to live Dignity; so let's focus on just one, Reliability.
Reliability
Reliability means, Performing well consistently.
So, let's ask ourselves this question ...

Reliability isn't new to CHRISTUS Health, in fact, we see this same type of Dignity in our heritage...
Did you know that one coworker has thanked a Patient Navigator at CHRISTUS St. Vincent, for saving her life? In 2019, her coworker had emergency surgery for a ruptured appendix. She suspected something was wrong post-op when the associate reported labored breathing. She called the treating provider and insisted that the associate go to the emergency department immediately. The associate was admitted with a pleural effusion, a life-threatening condition. Her quick actions likely saved the associate's life.
Dear Jesus, I am grateful for those I work with each day, and I pray for all their intentions. Thank you for creating them and bringing us together to share the great mission to extend your healing ministry. Amen.
