These quotes show the value of Teamwork. Teamwork is a great way to live Dignity, making it real in our lives today! So, as we reflect today, let's refresh our memories on the meaning of Dignity, and take a closer look at how Teamwork brings it to life.

Dignity means, Respect for the worth of every person, recognition and commitment to the value of diverse individuals and perspectives, and special concerns for the poor and underserved.
We know there are many ways to live Dignity; so let's focus on just one, Teamwork.

Teamwork isn't new to CHRISTUS Health, in fact, we see this same type of Dignity in our heritage...
At Christus Southeast Texas, an associate takes the time to assist individuals struggling. She is active in her church and supports the underserved in the community. Recently when one coworker lost their home in a fire, she was there reaching out to listen for what was needed, and then she helped collect those items. She listens the needs of the others and responds with joy.
Father, You listen to me and when you speak, it is in silence. Yet when I take time to be with you, I find peace. Show me how to listen to a coworker who is struggling, knowing that many times no special words are necessary. When I am present to another person, that in itself, speaks volumes. Help me listen well and give others the support they need to find peace. Amen.
