At Christus Southeast Louisiana, we have an associate who demonstrates an overwhelming commitment to compassion on a daily basis. She speaks to a variety of patients with a soft and caring manner as she obtains their medical history, and listens to their story. Many times I have witnessed her immense love and acceptance of others as she closes her conversation with the words, I'll be praying for you.
Dear God, You were filled with joy as you created me and then you have been with me throughout all the ups and downs of life. You and I are writing that story together. Thank you for giving each person their own sacred story. Help me to appreciate and learn from each one. Amen.
