Coming together as a team, let's take a moment to pause (10 secs), and let's begin with a quote from...
Corinthians 13:4 Love is patient and kind; it is not jealous or conceited or proud; it is not arrogant.
and from
Fulton Sheen Patience is power. Patience is not an absence of action; rather it is "timing" it waits on the right time to act, for the right principles and in the right way.
These quotes show the value of Patience. Patience is a great way to live Dignity, making it real in our lives today! So, as we reflect today, let's refresh our memories on the meaning of Dignity, and take a closer look at how Patience brings it to life.
Dignity
Dignity means, Respect for the worth of every person, recognition and commitment to the value of diverse individuals and perspectives, and special concerns for the poor and underserved.
We know there are many ways to live with Dignity; so let's focus on just one, Patience.
So, let's ask ourselves this question...
How does patiently waiting for others, help them grow?
I'd like to invite us all to make Patience a reality in our lives today by...
Waiting for the right time to act.
Patience isn't new to CHRISTUS Health, in fact, we see this same type of Dignity in our heritage...
At Christus Good Shepherd, an associate is very good in assisting new associates. She will quietly take a nurse aside to walk through the details about a medication she has never given. Though no one should ever be embarrassed for not knowing something, she is best at making situations like this both dignified and private.
