Coming together as a team, let's take a moment to pause (10 secs), and let's begin with a quote from...
1 Thessalonians 3: 9 What thanksgiving, then, can we render to God for you, for all the joy we feel on your account before our God?
and from
Douglas Wood The heart that gives thanks is a happy one, for we cannot feel thankful and unhappy at the same time.
These quotes show the value of Recognition. Recognition is a great way to live Excellence, making it real in our lives today! So, as we reflect today, let's refresh our memories on the meaning of Excellence, and take a closer look at how Recognition brings it to life.
Excellence
Excellence means, high standards of service and performance.
We know there are many ways to live with Stewardship; so let's focus on just one, Recognition.
So, let's ask ourselves this question...
When have I noticed someone who goes above and beyond?
I'd like to invite us all to make Recognition a reality in our lives today by...
Thanking a coworker for their good example of service.
Recognition isn't new to CHRISTUS Health, in fact, we see this same type of Excellence in our heritage...
At Christus Santa Rosa, We have an associate who has worked for years with little children who struggle in desperate situations. As difficult as this is, she is always smiling, and supportive of the patients, families, and associates around her. We thank her often for her motivating and positive spirit.
Jesus, I want to thank you first. Thank you for loving me and bringing so many blessings to my life. Thank you for calling me to this healing mission and for those who share it with me. Remind me next, to thank them throughout the day. I pray that together, we can make your loving presence visible. Amen.
