Coming together as a team, let's take a moment to pause (10 secs), and let's begin with a quote from...
Matthew 25:21 - "Well done, my good and faithful servant. Since you were faithful in small matters, I will give you great responsibilities. "
And from...
Michael Barber - "Stewardship is leaving a system better than you found it."
These quotes show the value of Resourcefulness. Resourcefulness is a great way to live Stewardship, making it real in our lives today! So, as we reflect today, let's refresh our memories on the meaning of Stewardship, and take a closer look at how Resourcefulness brings it to life.
Stewardship
Stewardship means, Wise and just use of talents and resources in a collaborative manner.
We know there are many ways to live Stewardship; so let's focus on just one, Resourcefulness.
Resourcefulness
Resourcefulness means, The ability to find quick and clever ways to overcome difficulties.
So let's ask ourselves this question ...
How have we been able to adapt to new or difficult situations? Pause 10-20 sec before moving on.
I'd like to invite us all to make Resourcefulness a reality in our lives today by...
Paying special attention to detail when things get busy.
Resourcefulness isn't new to CHRISTUS Health, in fact, we see this same type of Stewardship in our heritage….
Did you know that one of the Sisters of the Incarnate Word of San Antonio was instrumental in helping to establish the Guadalupe Community Center in 1932? Thanks to her fundraising efforts, what was once a broken down building was now a cafeteria serving hot lunches, school house, clinic, nursery, day care center, and an arts and crafts studio. The Center served as many as 300 children whose families were suffering from the Great Depression.
