Coming together as a team, let's take a moment to pause (10 secs), and let's begin with a quote from...
Philippians 3:17 17 Join with others in being imitators of me, brothers, and observe those who thus conduct themselves according to the model you have in us.
and from
Brenda Shoshanna When we start paying attention to the services we receive, stop and really see the person who is doing it and take the time to say thank you, our entire day will change.
These quotes show the value of Courtesy. Courtesy is a great way to live Stewardship, making it real in our lives today! So, as we reflect today, let's refresh our memories on the meaning of Stewardship, and take a closer look at how Courtesy brings it to life.
Stewardship
Stewardship means, Wise and just use of talents and resources in a collaborative manner.
We know there are many ways to live Stewardship; so let's focus on just one, Courtesy.
I'd like to invite us all to make Courtesy a reality in our lives today by...
Saying please and thank you.
Courtesy isn't new to CHRISTUS Health, in fact, we see this same type of Stewardship in our heritage...
At Christus Good Shepherd, we have an associate that always holds herself accountable. If she tells a patient that she will give them an exercise printout before they leave, and forgets to give it to them, she will make sure they get a phone call and apologizes. She will then leave the exercise printouts at the front for the patients to pick up later. She does not give herself a pass or make excuses.
