At Christus Southeast Texas, we have an associate who brings joy in the most demanding situations. Once she showed me how to care for an extremely challenging patient. As she thoroughly cleaned and organized her room, she reassured the patient that we would address all of her needs. I could feel the tension in myself melt away. I trusted her instincts and loving guidance. I feel like she has taught me to trust my own instincts in the future as well.
Loving God, I can be confident in my ability to respond to others because you have called me to this mission. I believe you will give me all the graces I need to aid in the healing of others. Help me be ready to act whenever I see a need. Thank you for your confidence in me. Amen.
