Coming together as a team, let's take a moment to pause (10 secs), and let's begin let's begin with a quote from...
Romans 15:7- "Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God."
And from...
St. Mother Teresa- "If you judge people; you have no time to love them."
These quotes show the value of being accepting. To be accepting is a great way to live Dignity, making it real in our lives today! So, as we reflect today, let's refresh our memories on the meaning of Dignity and take a closer look at how being accepting brings it to life.
Dignity
Dignity means, Respect for the worth of every person, recognition and commitment to the value of diverse individuals and perspectives, and special concerns for the poor and underserved.
We know there are many ways to live Dignity; so let's focus on just one, accepting.
Accepting
Accepting means, I see the value of each person and it shows through my body language.
So, let's ask ourselves this question...
How can my body language show someone I accept them just as they are? Pause 10-20 sec before moving on.
I'd like to invite us all to make being accepting a reality in our lives today by….
Facing or sitting next to the person I am serving.
Being accepting isn't new to CHRISTUS Health, in fact, we see this same type of Dignity in our heritage...
