Coming together as a team, let’s take a moment to pause (10 secs), and let’s begin with a quote from...
Matthew 5:16 - "Just so, your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father."
And from
Dr. Wayne Dyer - "See the light in others, and treat them as if that is all you see."
These quotes show the value of Appreciating others. Appreciation is a great way to live Excellence, making it real in our lives today! So, as we reflect today, let's refresh our memories on the meaning of Excellence, and take a closer look at how Appreciation brings it to life.
Excellence
Excellence means, high standards of service and performance.
We know there are many ways to live Excellence; so let's focus on just one, Appreciation.
So let's ask ourselves this question...
Can I recall the last time I really noticed and appreciated a patient or coworker? Pause 10-20 sec before moving on.
I'd like to invite us all to make Appreciation a reality in our lives today by...
Noticing one good quality in each person we interact with today.
Appreciation isn't new to CHRISTUS Health, in fact, we see this same type of Excellence in our heritage...
Did you know that the standard for care was always being challenged by our sponsoring congregations? Sisters cared for the ill, served the poor, raised the orphaned, and so much more. Each used her personal gifts for good and saw the value in others. You are not so far removed from the spirit of the founding sisters as you might think!
