Coming together as a team, let's take a moment to pause (10 secs), and let's begin with a quote from...
Philippians 4:8 - "Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things."
And from...
Vince Lombardi - Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.
These quotes show the value of Effort. Effort is a great way to live Excellence, making it real in our lives today! So, as we reflect today, let's refresh our memories on the meaning of Excellence, and take a closer look at how our Effort brings it to life.
Excellence
Excellence means, high standards of service and performance.
We know there are many ways to live Excellence; so let's focus on just one. Effort.
So let's ask ourselves this question...
When is the last time I was determined to see a responsibility through with excellence? Pause 10-20 sec before moving on.
I'd like to invite us all to make Effort a reality in our lives today by...
Making a determined attempt to finish what we start.
Effort isn't new to CHRISTUS Health, in fact, we see this same type of Excellence in our heritage...
Did you know that the first step of the journey for the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth was itself a voyage of epic proportions? In 1885, they crossed the stormy Atlantic, arrived in a new country, and found their way to Chicago. Their effort set the stage for building a flourishing ministry, one determined attempt after another! Today we build along side them as our ministries continue to extend the healing ministry of Jesus Christ.
