Pope Francis- "The private ownership of goods is justified by the need to protect and increase them, so that they can better serve the common good; for this reason, solidarity must be lived as the decision to restore to the poor what belongs to them."
These quotes show the value of solidarity. Solidarity is a great way to live Stewardship, making it real in our lives today! So, as we reflect today, let's refresh our memories on the meaning of Stewardship, and take a closer look at how solidarity brings it to life.

Stewardship means, Wise and just use of talents and resources in a collaborative manner.
We know there are many ways to live Stewardship; so let's focus on just one, solidarity.
Solidarity
Solidarity means, Seeking justice and peace together as one human family.
So, let's ask ourselves this question...

Solidarity isn't new to CHRISTUS Health, in fact, we see this same type of Stewardship in our heritage...
Did you know that Saint Cosmas and Saint Damian were twin brothers who were physicians, known for their compassion and their willingness to care for the poor and underserved? They often provided their services free of charge. The brothers were so careful with their resources that they never had to turn away someone in need.
Jesus. You have a deep love of the door. Help me to use our resources wisely so everyone is served, especially the poor. Thank you for giving us all we need to extend your healing ministry to everyone. Amen.
