These quotes show the value of Embracing Change. Embracing Change is a great way to live Dignity, making it real in our lives today! So, as we reflect today, let's refresh our memories on the meaning of Dignity, and take a closer look at how Embracing Change brings it to life.
Dignity
Dignity means, Respect for the worth of every person, recognition and commitment to the value of diverse individuals and perspectives, and special concerns for the poor and underserved.
We know there are many ways to live Dignity; so let's focus on just one, Embracing Change.
Embracing Change
Embracing Change means, Showing open-mindedness toward new ideas and proposals.
So, let's ask ourselves this question ...
Am I willing to adapt to meet the needs of a difficult patient? Pause 10-20 sec before moving on.

Did you know that a Medical Transporter for CHRISTUS Santa Rosa, was the only one who could get through to a difficult patient? One nurse said of them, "I knew from the minute I heard their voice and saw the difference in the patient's behavior while they were interacting with him that he trusted them and was comfortable with them."
Jesus, I know that when someone is frustrated or angry, it is often a sign of a deeper fear or pain. Give me a calm spirit which can reassure them of their dignity and value. Help them experience the peace you want for them. Amen.
