Coming together as a team, let's take a moment to pause (10 secs), and let's begin with a quote from...
1 John 3:1- "See what love the Father has bestowed on us that we may be called the children of God. Yet so we are..."
And from...
Pope John XXIII- "The family is the first essential cell of human society."
These quotes show the value of solidarity. Solidarity is a great way to live Dignity, making it real in our lives today! So, as we reflect today, let's refresh our memories on the meaning of Dignity, and take a closer look at how solidarity brings it to life.
Dignity
Dignity means, Respect for the worth of every person, recognition and commitment to the value of diverse individuals and perspectives, and special concerns for the poor and underserved.
We know there are many ways to live Dignity; so let's focus on just one, solidarity.
So, let's ask ourselves this question ...
Do I make others comfortable by welcoming them as family? Pause 10-20 sec before moving on.
I'd like to invite us all to make solidarity a reality in our lives today by...
Greeting others with a warm smile.
Solidarity isn't new to CHRISTUS Health, in fact, we see this same type of Dignity in our heritage...
