Coming together as a team, let's take a moment to pause (10 secs), and let's begin with a quote from...
Elie Wiesel: Our lives no longer belong to us alone; they belong to all who need us desperately.
And From
Phil Jackson: The strength of a team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team.
These quotes show the value of Inclusion. Inclusion is a great way to live with Integrity, making it real in our lives today! So, as we reflect today, let's refresh our memories on the meaning of Integrity, and take a closer look at how Inclusion brings it to life.
Integrity
Integrity means, Honesty, justice, and consistency in all relationships.
Integrity means...
So let's ask ourselves this question...
How does teamwork depend on everyone having a voice?
I'd like to invite us all to make Inclusion a reality in our lives today by...
Checking that everyone feels heard.
Inclusion isn't new to CHRISTUS Health, in fact, we see this same type of Integrity in our heritage...
At Christus Southeast Texas an associate, though stellar in all of her efforts, remains extremely down to earth and humble. She collaborates well with her fellow nurses, accepting their feedback and being supportive of them in return. When a coworker gave her constructive criticism, she smiled, admitted her need for improvement, and politely agreed. It immediately put the problem to rest and the coworker felt heard.
"Dear Lord, Being on a team and working as one, makes quality care possible. Every voice matters because we belong to something bigger than ourselves. There are new challenges every day and the team needs the strength of each person’s commitment. Please help us make sure that each voice is heard. Amen."
